Snehprabha Pradhan was an actress and singer born on October 28, 1915, in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She was born to Vitthalarao Pradhan and Tarabai. Her father was a social reformer.

Her mother was his fourth wife and about 25 years younger than him. Her parent's marriage shocked society as they belonged to different castes, and back then, it was not much acceptable.
