Abu al-‘Abbas Ahmad b. Muhammad b. al-Mahdi Ibn ‘Ajibah al-Hasani, known simply as Ibn ‘Ajibah, was born in 1160 AH (1746 CE) in Khamis, a coastal Moroccan town located between Tangier and Tetouan.
